Thanksgiving Hours of Operation

Campus Recreation & Wellness facilities will have modified hours of operation for Thanksgiving break starting on Friday, November 19. Fall semester regular hours of operation resume on Monday, November 29.

COVID-19 Booster Clinics

Elon University will begin offering COVID-19 vaccine booster clinics starting on Tuesday, November 30. Visit the COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinics website for more details and to register.

Health and Safety Policies

Facemasks will be required in all RecWell indoor facilities, regardless of vaccination status, per Healthy Elon policies. The only exceptions to this policy are when eating/drinking, showering, or swimming in Beck Pool, although masks are required on the pool deck. Additionally, the dress code will be enforced in all RecWell fitness and gym spaces (fitness centers, courts, and studios) – the torso, back, and upper leg must be covered and close-toed athletic shoes must be worn. There will no longer be a reservation system for fitness centers and racquetball/squash courts, although we will continue to decompress the fitness center and reduce capacity in some spaces for physical distancing. Visit the Healthy Elon website for more information on campus policies.

Outdoor Fitness Court Now Open

The new outdoor fitness court, located on Haggard Avenue in the Innovation Quad and across the street from the East Neighborhood, is now open. This new facility includes seven stations for a full body workout, as well as a half-mile track. You can use the court on your own, take a RecWell class, schedule a private class, or download the National Fitness Campaign app to access on-demand workouts. You can also check out this informational video, featuring President Book, SGA President Jack Corby, SGA Treasurer Caroline Penfield, and Personal Trainer Kenny Harvey.

Learn more about what we offer on the Elon Challenge website.

Phoenix Free Recovery Community

Campus Recreation & Wellness is proud to now offer a collegiate recovery community to help students maintain a sober and healthy lifestyle. Join us for several events throughout National Recovery Month in September, and wear purple every Wednesday in September in solidarity with and to celebrate people in substance recovery.
