Love Your Body Week: February 17-21
We are excited to host the fifth annual Love Your Body Week from February 17-21. Activities will take place throughout the week to promote physical activity, self-care, and body positivity. Our full schedule includes many great activities throughout the week, including Ladies Lifting on Monday at 9:15pm, the mini wellness fair on Tuesday from 11:30am-1:30pm, and Zumbathon on Friday at 4:30pm.
Spring Group Exercise Schedule
We have more than 30 classes a week on the group exercise schedule this spring, including four a week in the brand new Needham Pilates Studio! If you don’t already have a group exercise pass, you can purchase one at the RecWell business office in Koury 101 during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm). We also have a new GX passport program – starting February 10, any group exercise pass holder can pick up a passport from any instructor and take classes throughout the four-week program to fill up your passport and be eligible for prizes. Other Fitness Opportunities
Registration for the spring Live Well program (formerly Be Well) is open on the Campus Recreation & Wellness PhoenixCONNECT page from Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 14. This program, which is a partnership between RecWell and Counseling Services, seeks to increase exercise confidence and adherence through a five-week program working with both a personal trainer and counselor. Additionally, we have several personal training packages available for students, faculty, and staff. Visit the personal training website for more information.
Get Outdoors This Spring
Registration for outdoors trips opens on Monday, February 3. With many exciting opportunities to introduce, learn, or practice a skill while exploring the many natural resources available to us living in central North Carolina. If you want to explore the region on your own, we also have equipment available for for short-term rental.
