Love Your Body Week
The fourth annual Love Your Body Week is February 18-22. LYBW is a series of events to promote physical activity, body positivity, and overall wellness. In addition to signature events such as Ladies Lifting and Zumbathon, there will be new events this year such as the mini-wellness fair on Tuesday from 11:00am-2:00pm in Moseley and a screening of the documentary Fattitude on Wednesday at 7:00pm in Turner Theater. Check out our full schedule of events – we look forward to celebrating every body!
Spring Open Recreation Opportunities
With several gyms all over campus, it’s hard to know where and when to find a pick-up game. We have developed this open recreation guide for students, faculty, and staff to know where to go for informal basketball, volleyball, and soccer this spring. Please know that calendars can often change due to events and inclement weather, so be sure to call if you’re not sure what is happening in RecWell on any given day.
Register for Spring Trips
Registration for all spring trips opens on Monday, February 4 at 8:00am. We have a variety of offerings this spring for students who want to be introduced to a new activity, learn a new skill, or practice a skill you already have some experience in. In addition, we have two amazing opportunities this spring break – SCUBA diving, kayaking, and service in the Florida Keys as well as backpacking in the Grand Canyon! Information about applications for the spring break trips and registration for our other programs is available on the Elon Outdoors website. You can also contact us at 336-278-2267 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are interested in being active and fit this spring, we have a variety of opportunities for you. There are 40 classes on the group exercise schedule – if you don’t already have your pass, it is only $20 for unlimited classes. We also have a FREE new opportunity – every Saturday morning from 10am-noon we will an open Workout of the Day in South Gym. This workout is supervised by a personal trainer, and did we mention it’s FREE?!?! If you come to 5 throughout the spring you will get a free t-shirt. Speaking of our awesome personal trainers, if you are interested in this service please complete an interest form on Campus Recreation & Wellness Phoenix Connect page.
