Health and Safety Policies
Facemasks will be required in all RecWell indoor facilities, regardless of vaccination status, per Healthy Elon policies. The only exceptions to this policy are when eating/drinking, showering, or swimming in Beck Pool, although masks are required on the pool deck. Additionally, the dress code will be enforced in all RecWell fitness and gym spaces (fitness centers, courts, and studios) – the torso, back, and upper leg must be covered and close-toed athletic shoes must be worn. There will no longer be a reservation system for fitness centers and racquetball/squash courts, although we will continue to decompress the fitness center and reduce capacity in some spaces for physical distancing. Visit the Healthy Elon website for more information on campus policies.
Flu Vaccine Clinics
All Elon University students are required to have an annual flu vaccine. To fulfill this requirement, students can upload proof of vaccination to your Phoenix Health portal, participate in a campus flu clinic, or request a medical/religious waiver. Registration is open for campus flu clinics – note that these clinics are open to students only. The deadline for students to complete this requirement for the 2021-2022 academic year is October 29, 2021.
