Student Employment Overview
With more than 180 student employees across 10 programmatic areas, Campus Recreation is the largest employer on campus. Campus Recreation is a dynamic student led organization that prides itself on teamwork, and we are dedicated to our role at Elon in providing quality recreational experiences for the campus community. Our student leadership and teamwork models allow students a forum for the practical application of classroom theories, as well as the opportunity to develop professional competencies.
Campus Recreation hires student employees in the Fall and Spring. Spring 2018 informational sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, January 31 at 4:30pm & 5:30pm, and Thursday, February 1 at 4:15pm & 5:15pm (all in Lakeside 212/213). Applicants are not required to attend an informational session, but it is strongly recommended. Applications are available on the Campus Recreation Phoenix Connect page and due by 5:00pm on Monday, February 5.
Campus Recreation has developed a competitive hiring process similar to what a hiring process for a professional post-graduate job would entail. From the informational session and application to cover letters, resumes, and interviews, we hope to give students the practical experience of applying for a job.
