Brief Biography
Growing up moving from place to place, I had no problem in 2005 moving to North Carolina to attend Elon, leaving my native Southern California behind. As an undergraduate, I split my time between the Love School of Business and the Arts Building on the other side of campus, studying two interests of mine- Marketing and Art History. Elon served as the perfect stage for me to figure out who I was, what I was capable of, and how I could achieve my personal and professional goals.
Unlike our other Admissions counselors, my office is actually located in Southern California, what I like to call Elon's West Coast Outpost! If you're a student or counselor on the West Coast, I travel throughout the area on a regular basis, and would be more than happy to meet with you in person. Just contact me with your request ahead of time.
Outside of the office, I love traveling, camping with my husband, our daughter, and our dog Jackson, a really good cup of coffee, and cooking with my family and friends.
Favorite Place on Campus: The Alamance Fountain and surrounding buildings feels like the heart and soul of campus to me. Some of my fondest memories as a first year student happened here. You can look in every direction to see beautiful parts of campus, and the area is always humming with students and faculty. Even now as a staff member, I spend time sitting by the fountain, and always run into familiar and friendly faces.
Favorite Elon Tradition: Elon's holiday luminaries is such a magical time on campus. The brick pathways are lined with luminaries, and the trees are wrapped in white twinkle lights. Regardless of your faith, the holiday luminaries bring everyone in Elon's community- from students to faculty to locals- to campus to celebrate the season together. It's a fun way to kick off the holiday season with your Elon family, before you return home to your family for winter break. Amidst the chaos of end of year projects and papers, the holiday luminaries are a great reminder to pause and celebrate with those around you... the hot chocolate and hot apple cider helps too!
Favorite Local Restaurant: As a Southern California native, I am certainly pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food and tacos... Tangent Tacos is my favorite local spot for tacos! It's a delicious interpretation of North Carolina tacos, and you can't beat the location... right across the street from campus!
