Kristy Ruiz named director of Love School of Business graduate programs

Ruiz will provide leadership for the Elon MBA, MSA and M.S. in Management programs.

Kristy Ruiz has joined Elon University as the director of graduate programs in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.

Ruiz will provide direct leadership for recruiting, strategic planning and daily operations for the Elon MBA, MSA and M.S. in Management programs. Together with key stakeholders, she will shape the vision and mission of the programs in line with the strategy and mission of the Love School of Business.

Ruiz was most recently the director of the student life center at the College of Textiles at N.C. State University. Prior to that position, she worked for the University of Arizona for nearly 12 years in roles including academic advisor, program manager, director of Eller Full-time MBA, and director of Eller Evening MBA.

“We are excited to have Kristy join the LSB team,” said Jen Platania, associate dean for the Love School of Business. “Her experience leading both part-time and full-time MBA programs, as well as her proven ability to develop corporate partnerships, will be central in helping to further develop our graduate programs in the LSB.”

Ruiz earned a bachelor’s in retailing and consumer sciences and an MBA from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona.
