Amanda Parrish G’21 wins Richard H. Behrman Award

The annual award is presented to the most outstanding graduating Elon MBA student.

Elon MBA faculty members selected Amanda Parrish G’21 as the recipient of the 2021 Richard H. Behrman Award, honoring her academic excellence, contributions to the classroom environment through active participation, and demonstrated leadership in both program and community activities.

The award is named after Richard “Dick” Behrman, who served as the first director of the Elon MBA program.

Parrish, divisional chief human resources officer at Duke Health, began the Elon MBA program in spring 2018. During her time in the program, she was part of the winning Elon MBA case competition team, participated in the 2020 global engagement experience to Asia, was inducted into the honor societies Sigma Iota Epsilon, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma, and served as the graduate student representative on the Love School of Business Board of Advisors. Parrish was also selected by her peers to deliver the student address during the May 18 Commencement ceremony.
