Phoenix Athletic's premier fundraising initiative generated more than $644,000 in support of Elon student-athletes.
Elon Athletics celebrated another record-setting Night of the Phoenix on Friday, Sept. 5, as donors, alumni, parents and community members came together at Schar Center for the 18th annual event. The department’s premier fundraising initiative generated more than $644,000 in support of Elon student-athletes – a 23% increase from 2024 – and has now raised more than $4.3 million since its inception.
Night of the Phoenix has become the largest singular fundraising event for Elon Athletics, with proceeds directly supporting the Phoenix student-athlete experience. The 2025 event celebrated an outstanding 2024-25 season in which Elon programs captured five Coastal Athletic Association championships and Phoenix student-athletes earned three of the conference’s five top academic and leadership honors.
“Over nearly two decades, Night of the Phoenix has transformed into an incredible celebration of the Elon community’s commitment to our student-athletes,” Director of Athletics Jennifer Strawley said. “The generosity of our supporters helps fuel our pursuit of excellence and ensures that we can provide a world-class student-athlete experience. We’re proud of the championships, academic success, and leadership milestones our programs achieved this past year, and we’re equally grateful for, and inspired by the continued investment from our donors in the future of Elon Athletics.”
Night of the Phoenix is guided by the department’s recently unveiled strategic plan, Phoenix Rising, which prioritizes championship success, academic achievement and holistic student-athlete development.
