Family Weekend FAQ

How do I get to Elon?

Elon Admissions offers printer-friendly directions and a map for those visiting campus.

Take Interstate 85/40 to exit 140 University Drive/Elon. If you are driving from Durham and points east, take a right at the end of the ramp. If you are driving from Greensboro and points west, take a left at the end of the ramp and cross over the highway overpass.

Follow the signs for University Drive and continue for 2.5-3 miles. You will cross railroad tracks and make a right at the next stoplight onto Haggard Avenue. You will then make a quick left at the first stoplight on Haggard Avenue to remain on University Drive. Continue on University Drive approximately one mile, proceeding through the stoplight at Williamson Avenue/N.C. 87. Turn right at the next stoplight for O'Kelly Avenue.

Make your second right off the traffic circle to remain on O'Kelly Avenue. Parking lots are available past the traffic circle on both the right and left sides. These two parking lots will put you near the Moseley Center and the university's Welcome Center, located inside of Moseley.
What hotel options are there in Elon and the surrounding area?

Yes.  Most faculty will be available during the "Meet and Greet" on Saturday morning.  When you check in at the Registration tables, you will recieve a list of your student's faculty members and where they will be located.
When can I buy Collage tickets and where?

Tickets for all Family Weekend events except for the football game are available online when registering for Family Weekend. We do encourage you to register EARLY as the Collage performances sell out extremely quickly.  Please visit the Elon Athletics Web site for tickets to the football game.
What restaurant options are there on and off campus?

Please visit the Elon Dining Services Web site for information about on-campus dining options. The Alamance-Burlington Convention and Visitors Bureau offers a comprehensive list of Burlington-area dining options.

Will wheelchairs be available for those that need one?

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide wheelchairs, but if you contact William’s Medical Supply (336-449-7357) they will  take your order and payment, then deliver the chair to the Moseley Center for your convenience.

If I want to cancel my registration, can I get a refund?

Once you register, we start planning for you!  As a result, we commit the funds to vendors and associated expenses.  Unfortunately, that means we are unable to offer refunds for Family Weekend registration, lunch and single-event tickets.

What does the administrative fee cover?

Your registration fee helps cover many of the administrative costs associated with the event including staff for the event, Open House events, Faculty Concert, sibling activities, mini-classes, campus movie, and Coffee with the President.
