The new year signals a time of renewal and reflection, and Winter Term at Elon is no different. This semester will have four sub-themes: Health, Intercultural Engagement, Media, and Politics. The structure and environment of Winter Term is designed to give students a chance to take courses connected to sub-themes, learn from a myriad of speakers, and attend workshops and events that foster a unique experience. This provides students with an array of disciplinary and interdisciplinary pathways to explore inside and outside of the classroom.

On Thursday, Jan 10. Anita Hill will give the annual MLK, JR. Commemorative Address in Alumni Gym. The Department of Performing Arts winter show of ‘Trojan Barbie’ includes ten performances at Roberts Studio Theatre starting Jan. 18. Plus, students have numerous opportunities to catch a game in the new Schar Center! The month concludes with the Denver Evening for Elon on Monday, Jan. 28. Alumni, parents, prospective families, and friends of Elon are invited to attend a reception and program featuring a university update and special remarks by President Connie Ledoux Book and guests.
