Dear Elon families,

On behalf of the Parents Council, we would like to extend a warm “Elon Welcome” to all new families!

It has certainly been our experience that Elon provides a unique student-centered learning environment where students, faculty and staff work together to further students’ education, personal development and success. We have been impressed with how Elon genuinely values and relies upon parent engagement.  Serving on the Parents Council is a primary vehicle to assisting the university with strategic planning, providing vital resources, and in achieving its unique vision and mission. Recognizing this, the Parents Council engages with the Office of Parent Engagement and senior administrators to represent the parent body to the university on a range of important issues. This is especially important as we continue to face the challenges of a global pandemic and the injustices of systemic racism. Please feel free to contact us or any member of the council through the Office of Parent Engagement at 336-278-7470 or for assistance.

We encourage parents and families to stay connected with the university and informed about campus happenings. Follow Elon University and Elon Parents on social media. All parents who have shared their email address with Elon will receive This Week @ Elon, a weekly email packed with the latest news from campus. In addition, parents will also receive the Phoenix Families e-newsletter full of helpful information all Elon families need to know. To ensure receipt of This Week @ Elon and the Phoenix Families e-newsletter, share your preferred email address with the Office of Parent Engagement at or 336-278-7470.

Finally, please consider investing in the future of Elon and its students by supporting the Parents & Grandparents Fund, or a designation of importance to you or your student. Your annual gift also supports Elon LEADS, our most ambitious and impactful campaign in Elon history. This campaign will transcend the university’s ability to deepen student access and engaged learning by enriching scholarships, programs and student-faculty partnerships.  We have found this investment to be particularly meaningful and gratifying.

We wish your students a most successful year at Elon and your families a fulfilling and lifelong relationship with this remarkable University.

Warm regards,

Amy and Rob Heinrich P’22
