Take Interstate 85/40 to exit 140 University Drive/Elon. If you are driving from Durham and points east, take a right at the end of the ramp. If you are driving from Greensboro and points west, take a left at the end of the ramp and cross over the highway overpass.

Follow the signs for University Drive and continue for 2.5-3 miles. Continue on University Drive approximately one mile, proceeding through the stoplight at Williamson Avenue/N.C. 87. Turn right at the next stoplight for O’Kelly Avenue.

Make your second right off the traffic circle to remain on O’Kelly Avenue. You may park in the McMichael Science Center and Colonnades Residential parking lots, which are located in the heart of campus. Find these parking lots on the Elon campus map.

If I want to cancel my registration, can I get a refund?

Once you register, we start planning for you! As a result, we commit the funds to vendors and associated expenses. That means we are only able to offer refunds for the ticketed events until registration closes. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a refund for the $30 registration fee. To request a refund, please email

What does the $30 registration fee cover?

The registration fee is used to cover many administration costs associated with Family Weekend. Additionally, the registration feed helps support all of the wonderful events that do not have an additional cost associated. For example, the continental breakfast, parent mini-classes, SUBLive, and many more!

The events I want to attend are not listed on the registration form. Do I still need to register?

As valued members of the Elon community, we want to know you will attend Family Weekend so we may plan accordingly to provide the best experience. If you do not wish to attend the events that require registration on the registration form, please be aware that we will not be able to provide your student schedule for the faculty meet and greet or information for the parent mini-classes offered on Saturday morning. The $30 registration fee is used to cover all event costs associated with Family Weekend.
