Leanna Giles

Leanna earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Elon University in 2002 and was the recipient of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship. She studied abroad in London, England during her time as a student at Elon.

After graduating from Elon, Leanna remained an active alumna by volunteering, serving on the Piedmont Triad Alumni Association, as a social media ambassador, and assisted with Campaign classes in the School of Communications and worked with students at Live Oak. 

Leanna earned a Masters in School Administration (MSA) from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2011. Before returning to Elon in 2023, Leanna worked in the areas of education, hospitality, and financial services.

She is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Alamance. She served in a variety of leadership roles for The Children’s Museum of Alamance County, Alamance Arts, Alamance Chamber and First Presbyterian Church. In her free time, you can find her spending time at Wrightsville Beach with her husband Bob and daughter Mary Chandler.
