Belk Library’s Systems Librarian Jerry Waller presented at the Society of North Carolina Archivists 2019 Annual Conference in Wilmington, NC. Waller conducted a pre-conference workshop on March 13, 2019, about OpenRefine, a tool to clean and standardize data.
The half-day workshop introduced participants to OpenRefine and covered basic strategies for its use. Participants performed exercises to familiarize them with the tool’s capabilities and completed guided exercises in which they cleaned and sorted sample data.
