Help raise funds to cover the travel expenses of Alamanace County high school students interested in going to Nepal to work on an orphanage, Sam's House, during their summer break. The goal is for students to visit and volunteer at the orphanage for three weeks in June. Time will be split between working directly with the children and doing phyisical projects at the house and in the community.

Sam's House is a 20-child orphanage in a suburban are of Pokhara. School-age children attend a local private school while those who are younger are cared for at the home.

The fundraiser is a project by Prestige, a Burlington based mentoring group. Through exposure to a third world country and service to those in need, Prestige hopes to equip these students with the skills necessary to affect change in their own community. The trip will also serve as a way to promote cultural and religious tolerance while reminding us that unity and brotherhood are principles that transcend belief and background.
