Why become a USCA Certified Sales Student?
- The USCA Certified Sales Student program is designed to encourage students’ professional development and to recognize university students who exceed the minimum requirements of their sales-related coursework to prepare themselves for successful careers in sales.

- The program also helps employers identify top candidates for sales roles both within the United States and worldwide.
What is required to become a USCA Certified Sales Student?
To earn the USCA Certified Sales Student designation, eligible students must complete the required coursework and the required extracurricular experience (both verified by an authorized faculty member).
Required Sales Coursework
- Complete MKT3180 Professional Selling class plus two of the Sales classes list below.
- MKT4210 Advanced Selling Techniques
- MKT4190 Sales Management
- MKT4200 CRM / Sales Technology
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5
Required Extracurricular Activities
- Complete five (5) extracurricular activities from the list below and provide Sales faculty verification.
- Complete a sales internship
- Attend the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center Speaker Series event
- Establish a mentor relationship with a faculty member, alumnus or industry executive
- Participate in a sales competition representing Elon University (external or internal)
- Engage in a Chandler Family Professional Sales Center employer networking event
- Become an active member of a sales-focused club (i.e., Women in Sales, Pi Sigma Epsilon Sales Fraternity)
