Elon is a selective, mid-sized private university which is renowned as a national model for engaged and experiential learning.  As a way to offer more to experiential and engaged learning to our students and community, we established the ElonRUNS running club. The mission of the ElonRUNS club is to serve a diverse community of runners of all ages and abilities. Through training, group running experiences and participation in running events, we encourage and support our community members to reach their running goals. To learn more about the programs offered and currently active, please visit our ElonRUNS running club and running routes pages.

The mission of the Department of Physical Therapy Education research is to expand the current understanding of running-related changes that occur to the musculoskeletal system following injury and pregnancy, postpartum and throughout the lifespan, with a focus on treatment and prevention. Our research seeks to provide clinical guidelines for optimal running safety and effectiveness to help athletes remain injury free when running, using the most effective evidence-based care.
