Angela Shrader

Angela (Angie) Shrader joined Elon University in December 2024 as the International Student Service Coordinator.

Angie grew up in Parkersburg, WV and graduated from Marietta College with a BA in Psychology and Theatre. During her time at Marietta, she also studied abroad in Kyoto, Japan, which began her interest in international education. After graduation, Angie moved to Okinawa, Japan for a year as an Assistant Language Teacher with the JET Programme. Her time living abroad furthered her interest into international education, and she returned to her alma mater where she worked in international admissions. Her favorite part of working with students is helping them to feel at home on campus and in the community and getting to learn about the places they call home.

In her free time, Angie loves acting, play volleyball, crocheting, playing board games, video games, reading, and writing fiction and poetry. She also loves spending time with her family, husband, and two cat sons, Russell and Artemis. As a proud West Virginian, she is always happy to tell anyone about her favorite food: the pepperoni roll!
