Brief Biography
Mrs. Roberts earned her Bachelor of Arts in Middle Grades Education, with a concentration in English &
History, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She was a NC Teaching Fellow and began her
teaching career in Wake County Public Schools. Roberts taught 6th English Language Arts and 7th
English Language Arts & Social Studies. She later transitioned to teaching in Guilford County Schools as
an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher. Mrs. Roberts decided to transition from the classroom to
administration, and chose to teach 5th grade in Winston-Salem Forsyth County to get an idea of how
rising 6th graders are prepared for middle school. She received her Masters in School Administration &
Leadership from North Carolina A&T State University. Following graduation Mrs. Roberts became a
Guilford County Schools Assistant Principal. Roberts is passionate about education and providing opportunities for stakeholders to grow and be the best version of themselves. Within her buildings she
has built strong relationships with her communities & implemented programs which supported and
recognized students and staff. Mrs. Roberts enjoys diamond art, watching Game of Thrones & House of
the Dragon with her husband, Justin, traveling, and game nights.
