Brief Biography
Carrie Ryan serves as the Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Services at Elon University. With over 22 years of dedicated service to the university community, she provides innovative and strategic leadership for a wide array of auxiliary operations. Her portfolio includes leadership for Barnes & Noble at Elon University, Elon Dining, Laundry Services, Mail Services, Microfridges, Print Services, Storage Scholars, The Inn at Elon, Vending Services (Beverage and Snack), and Trademarks/Licensing. Ms. Ryan is the primary liaison with key partners such as Harvest Table Culinary Group (Elon Dining) and Charlestowne Hotels (The Inn at Elon).
Throughout her tenure, Ms. Ryan has held impactful roles within the divisions of Finance & Administration and Student Life, including Auxiliary Services, Residence Life and Fraternity and Sorority Life. She is committed to advancing the university’s mission by developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and innovation of Auxiliary Services. Known for her exceptional leadership, persistence, and attention to detail, Ms. Ryan has built strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve institutional goals.
Ms. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an MBA from Elon University. She has earned the Certified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP) credential from the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), as well as certificates in Hospitality Management 360 and Restaurant Revenue Management from Cornell University. A lifelong learner and leader, she actively participates in institutional committees, national and regional conferences, and leadership development programs offered by NACAS, SACUBO, NACUFS, and NASPA.
She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO), National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU), National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS) and National Association of College Stores (NACS).
Her unwavering dedication to excellence and her forward-thinking approach continue to make a significant impact on the university’s auxiliary services and the campus community.
