Brief Biography

I joined the Elon Counseling staff in 2001.  Since then I have had the opportunity and privilege to work with a few thousand students. My approach is somewhere between Carl Rogers and Mr. Rogers with an emphasis on using self knowlege to address obstacles to success and enjoyment.  Over the years I have worked closely with Disabilities Services and the various graduate programs such as physical therapy and law.  Recently the focus has often been on responses to the pandemic and ways to cope with disappointment and unexpected changes.
