Brief Biography
The greatest asset we can ever have is true understanding and appreciation of self. Being a counselor here at Elon allows me to help people obtain and sustain that asset. I have utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities with a host of populations in different areas across the country, which has allowed me to become a confident, well-rounded mental health practitioner. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Texas in 2022, but have been operating in the mental health space since 2019. My work emphasizes self-equitable resilience with a focus on "controlling the controllables" and investigating one's inner motivations to live a sustainable life. This work is not solely limited to talk therapy sessions as my interest in acquatics, political engagement, relationships, community development, and literacy are all interwoven into the groups and workshops I lead as well.
Additionally, therapy is what I do, but not solely who I am. Outside of work, I love to explore different food scenes with my wife, swim, walk, watch a good show or movie, and travel as much I can with family and friends.
