John Gardner

John Gardner is a Senior Director of Development for Elon University.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Public Administration at Elon College in 2001.  John came back to Elon in 2012 with 10 years of fundraising experience to join the University Advancement team as a major gifts officer. He has been successful in securing support for a number of institutional priorities including student scholarships, the School of Communications expansion and renovation project, and Sankey Hall.  In his current role, John  works with team members to engage Elon constituents in conversations about philanthropy.

John, who is a native of Nantucket, MA, enjoys spending time with his wife Anderson and their two children, Jack and Molly.  He also enjoys reading, sports(Go Pats!), and exercising.
