Brief Biography
Hi there! My name is Janelle and I come to Elon with a background in experiential education and international programming. My primary responsibility in the Office of the Registrar is to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for program alignment, articulation agreements, and credit transfer options. I also manage Elon's school of record partnerships and study away course planning processes. While I teach Elon 1010 and various other interdisciplinary courses, you can see me around campus saving animals and playing pickleball.

During my undergraduate studies at Gettysburg College, I double majored in German and Globalization Studies with a concentration in ecotourism, minoring in environmental studies. Having just returned from a year abroad in Austria as a Rotary Exchange Student, I was eager to take on the world--in an almost literal sense. For all four years I worked for the Office of Experiential Education as a student facilitator, leading kayaking, climbing, backpacking, hiking and challenge course experiences.
After graduating in May 2010, I moved to Germany as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, and spent a year teaching American Cultural Studies and English language to students aged twelve to nineteen. It was during my time abroad that I decided to pursue a graduate degree in College Student Affairs at The Pennsylvania State University.
At Penn State I worked with the Undergraduate Admission's Marketing & Recruitment Team for two years and completed my Master's of Education in College Students Affairs. I also spent copious amounts of time in the Global Programs Office as a Promotions and Outreach Intern, and focused most of my research on international students and study abroad.
