Brief Biography
I am from Arizona where I went to graduate school (Go Cats!) before heading out to North Carolina to work at UNC (go Heels!) before coming here to Elon- yeah Phoenix!! I teach General Biology as well as Anatomy & Physiology, and Endocrinology. I love science. Any of my students will tell you that I get excited over any cool biology facts and I think the gut is the coolest organ around. My research focuses on the interactions between the immune cells and the microbes that reside in the intestine. When I am not here at Elon I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, kids and our dog.
