Brief Biography

Dr. Katelyn Walls is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at the Love School of Business at Elon University. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). Her work is centered on leveraging data-driven insights to understand complex business challenges, including the impact of social media on corporate reputation (i.e., Cancel Culture). Her research uses qualitative methods to analyze data and inform strategic decision-making. She is also interested in the ethical considerations of AI/ML in business, digitalization trends, and the evolving relationship between humans and technology. Her earlier research has been published in leading Information Systems conferences. At Elon, she teaches courses on Business Analytics. When she's not wrangling data (or her two dogs), she can be found attempting to learn the latest TikTok dance trends, with varying degrees of success, or losing herself in the pages of a good book.
