Pate McMichael

Pate McMichael is the director of the North Carolina Open Government Coalition and an instructor of journalism at Elon University. A longtime journalist and Freedom of Information expert, McMichael is the author of "Klandestine: How a Klan Lawyer and a Checkbook Journalist Helped James Earl Ray Cover Up His Crime" and "Operation Chrysler: The Greatest Murder Mystery of World War II." Previously, he worked as a professor of journalism and student media adviser at Georgia College, California State University, Chico, and The University of Arizona.
