Sofia Mosquera

Professional Experience: Ms. Mosquera joined Elon University in 2020 after working for several years in the non-profit and higher education sectors, leading participatory research innitiatives and providing direct services to immigrants, refugees, and other vulnerable populations in the community. Ms. Mosquera has conducted extensive research in immigration policy, migrant integration, conflict analysis, and legal-needs access. She has a double Master's degree in Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Politics & Public Administration from the University of Konstanz, Germany. Ms. Mosquera is fluent in Spanish and French and is currently an Accredited Representative with the Department of Justice (DOJ) to provide immigration legal council and represent clients before USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) in their cases.
