Jeffrey Kinsler honored at Elon Law ceremony

Elon University School of Law celebrated the contributions of Jeffrey Kinsler, a founding member of the Elon Law faculty, for his contributions to the law school's progress since 2006. Kinsler recently accepted the position of Dean for the new College of Law at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Elon University president Leo M. Lambert said at the April 14 ceremony that Kinsler had left an indelible and positive mark on Elon University School of Law.

Elon Law dean George R. Johnson, Jr. said that as a member of the founding faculty, Kinsler had contributed greatly to Elon Law’s early successes. Johnson noted consistent reports by law students over the years of Kinsler’s outstanding teaching.

Johnson also presented Kinsler with a proclamation on behalf of the Elon University School of Law Advisory Board, recognizing his contributions to Elon Law, signed by Johnson, Lambert, and advisory board chair David Gergen, former presidential adviser and director of the Center for Public Leadership at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

While at Elon Law, Kinsler taught courses in Property, Wills & Trusts, Sales, Professional Responsibility, and a bar exam refresher course.
