The 2023 ranking places Elon #79 among four-year colleges and universities, based on aggregate scores of student reviews and the leading college ranking publications.
College Consensus ranks Elon University #79 for National Research Universities for 2022. In that category, Elon ranks among the top 15 universities based on a student consensus rating of 82.2, tied with Vanderbilt University and just behind the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (82.7)

Elon’s national ranking is based on Elon’s evaluation in college rankings by U.S. News & World Report, the Wall Street Journal and Wallethub, along with student reviews posted on Niche, Cappex and Students Review.
College Consensus also ranked elon among the 2022 Best Colleges & Universities in the South, the 25 LGBTQ-Friendly College for 2021 and the 2022 Best Colleges & Universities in North Carolina.
