The Phoenix has partnered with WRAL-TV to broadcast four upcoming basketball games.
Elon Athletics has announced a new partnership with WRAL-TV in Raleigh that will bring Phoenix basketball to local linear television for the first time. As part of the agreement, WRAL will broadcast four Elon men’s and women’s basketball games in January.
The four-game package includes men’s basketball games against Campbell on Jan. 10 and Stony Brook on Jan. 31, as well as women’s basketball contests against North Carolina A&T on Jan. 23 and College of Charleston on Jan. 30.
WRAL, an NBC affiliate based in Raleigh, has been a cornerstone of North Carolina broadcasting since 1956. As the flagship station of the locally owned Capitol Broadcasting Company, WRAL is one of the few local television stations in the country to have held affiliations with all three major national networks, underscoring its longstanding influence and reach across the Triangle and surrounding region.
“This partnership represents a significant step forward for Elon Athletics,” Director of Athletics Jennifer Strawley said. “Having our men’s and women’s basketball programs broadcast on local linear television for the first time allows us to meaningfully expand our visibility in the Raleigh market, while continuing to elevate the profile of Elon University.”
The collaboration also provides a unique educational opportunity for students involved with Elon Sports Vision, who will gain hands-on experience producing live linear television broadcasts in partnership with a major local media outlet.

In addition to these linear broadcasts, Phoenix fans will still be able to watch each of the four contests on FloCollege.
