Moran Stela Yanai was abducted from the Nova Music Festival on Oct. 7, and spent nearly two months in captivity. She will address the Elon community on Oct. 28.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to an evening with Moran Stela Yanai, a survivor and released hostage from the Oct. 7 Nova Music Festival massacre in Israel.
The event, titled “54 Days,” will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. in Turner Theater.
At 40 years old, Moran attended the Nova Music Festival, when her world was shattered by the Hamas attack on Oct. 7. She was abducted and held captive in Gaza for 54 days. Now free, Moran travels the world sharing her extraordinary story of survival, faith and the human capacity for hope even in the darkest moments.
Her message is not only about what she endured, but about the light she chose to hold onto, and the strength she found in her identity, her family and her faith.
This event is presented by Chabad at Elon University, in partnership with StandWithUs, Hillel at Elon University, Israel on Campus Coalition and ZOA Campus.
The evening is free and open to the university community. All are welcome to hear Moran’s remarkable firsthand testimony, a story that reminds us of the power of resilience and the unbreakable spirit of the human soul.
