Family Weekend Registration FAQ

Why aren’t all of the events from the schedule on the registration form?
Not all Family Weekend events require advance registration. It’s generally just for events that have a capacity limit or where food is involved. If you want to attend an event that’s on the schedule but not on the registration, you can just show up!

Will the events sell out?
Some events do have a capacity limit. For example, certain sections of football tickets may sell out, and the Downtown Bike Tour will quickly reach its capacity because of the limited number of bikes. But, for the most part, tickets will be available for the next several weeks.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my student?
If you are attending Family Weekend events and want your student to join you, you may need to purchase them a ticket, depending on the event.

Which football ticket option should I choose?
If you are attending Saturday’s football game, we have several great ticket options for you to choose from. For those of you who have never attended a game at Elon, we have prepared an informative video to help you decide!


What is the registration fee used for?
The weekend fee is $10 per guest, and is used to cover many administrative costs associated with Family Weekend. Additionally, the fee helps support all of the wonderful events that do not have an additional cost associated. For example, the continental breakfast, Acorn Talks, evening events, and many more!

How do I get one of those amazing t-shirts?
T-shirts are available for purchase in sizes S-XXL. There are limited quantities of each shirt and purchased shirts can be picked up when you check in for Family Weekend. Unreserved shirts will be sold at Family Weekend on a first-come, first-served basis.

What should I expect once I register?
You should receive a confirmation email within minutes of your registration, outlining which events you signed up for. If you would like to order football tickets, check your registration email for a link to go to the Athletics Ticketing website to place your order.

What if I need to make a change to my registration?
You can utilize the “Modify Registration” link in your confirmation email to update your registration. Please call the Family Weekend staff at 336-278-5206 if you have any issues.
