The Elon DPT program participates in the Physical Therapy Centralized Application Service (PTCAS). All applicants applying for the class of 2017 entering January 2015 will apply online using the PTCAS application. To apply, visit www.PTCAS.org.
The Elon DPT program accepts applications on a rolling basis starting July 2013. Please submit your application as soon as possible for consideration.

*Candidates are encouraged to apply in advance of the August 15 deadline in order to allow sufficient application processing time. Additionally, PTCAS requires that Early Decision candidates take the GRE® and request scores by no later than July 31.
Note: Applications received after November 1 will be considered only on a space available basis.
Interviews are a requirement for admission. Interviews will be scheduled September 13 (Early Decision candidates only), December 9, December 13, January 10, January 17, February 10 and February 14.

Evidence of an earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university* or date when degree is expected
*Each applicant must complete a bachelor's degree in the United States from a regionally accredited college or university. International degrees that have been evaluated as United States equivalent will not fulfill this requirement. All prerequisites must be completed at a regionally accredited college or university.
Completion of prerequisite courses
a. 6 Science Courses (3-credit hour course or higher with lab)
The applicant must have 6 natural and/or life science courses selected from the following: Biology, Chemistry, Human Anatomy/Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Pathology and/or Physics.
b. 1 Psychology Course (3-credit hour course or higher)
It is preferred that this course is from the psychology department, but an upper level course from another department may be acceptable.
Notes on prerequisite courses
Official Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) taken within the last five years
Minimum of 100 hours volunteer or work experience in a health care setting with at least 20 of these hours in a physical therapy acute inpatient care or hospital setting (may be in progress).
Three letters of recommendation
*Science is defined as: Biology, Chemistry, Human Anatomy/Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Pathology and/or Physics.
Must be able to meet the Essential Requirements of Physical Therapy Education at Elon University.
TOEFL scores are required unless English is the student's native language or the language of instruction. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based) or 79 (Internet-based) is required. English translations of transcripts and explanations of grading systems are required.
