The Elon DPT program participates in the Physical Therapy Centralized Application Service (PTCAS). All applicants applying for the class of 2015 entering January 2013 will apply online using the PTCAS application. To apply, visit www.PTCAS.org.
The Elon DPT program accepts applications on a rolling basis starting July 2011. Please submit your application as soon as possible for consideration.

Note: Applications received after November 1 will be considered only on a space available basis.
Interviews are a requirement for admission. We will host interviews on September 23 (for early decision candidates only), December 2, December 12, January 6, January 13, February 24 and February 27.
Admissions Checklist
Completed applications submitted to PTCAS must include the following:
Evidence of an earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or date when degree is expected
Completion of prerequisite courses
a. 6 Science Courses (3-credit hour course or higher with lab)
The applicant must have 6 natural and/or life science courses selected from the following: Biology, Chemistry, Human Anatomy/Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Pathology and/or Physics.
b. 1 Psychology Course (3-credit hour course or higher)
It is preferred that this course is from the psychology department, but an upper level course from another department may be acceptable.
Official Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) taken within the last five years
Minimum of 100 hours volunteer or work experience in a health care setting with at least 20 of these hours in a physical therapy acute inpatient care or hospital setting (may be in progress).
Three letters of recommendation
Must be able to meet the Essential Requirements of Physical Therapy Education at Elon University
TOEFL scores are required unless English is the student's native language or the language of instruction. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based) or 79 (Internet-based) is required. English translations of transcripts and explanations of grading systems are required.
