Celebrating over 30 years of academic excellence

African & African-American Studies at Elon (AAASE) was established in 1994. The pedagogy, research, scholarship, service — among other experiential learning activities — of our faculty and student scholars reflect an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the lived realities of the African diaspora.

The AAASE Interdisciplinary Minor Program provides and supports a wide array of events, workshops, and community engagement initiatives to complement and enhance the curricular experience, serving as a testament to the profound breadth, depth, and enduring legacy of this remarkable minor.
