Center for Organizational Analytics

The Elon Center for Organizational Analytics strives to be the leading source of business analytics knowledge, training, and practice across campus.

We serve as a hub bringing faculty, students and industry thought leaders together to educate on the best practices in analytics, solve organizational problems, and promote teaching, research, and outreach in business analytics.

Our Purpose:

  • Focus on educating our graduate and undergraduate students and corporate associates on the latest methodologies and tools in the practice of data analytics in organizations.
  • Serve organizations throughout our community by providing exposure to the latest analytics trends, methodologies, and practical implementations that produce measurable and impactful results.
  • Support faculty training on the latest methodologies and applications of business analytics.
  • Support faculty and student research on techniques and innovations in the theories, methods, and applications in the management of big data.

What We Do:

The Center’s goals and activities are grounded in practical collaboration with businesses and non-profit organizations.

  • The Center provides Elon students opportunities to develop hands-on analytics experience through consulting projects, case competitions, and internships.
  • The Center hosts thought leaders and practitioners in analytics who share their insights with students, faculty, and professionals about emerging trends in analytics and related professions.
  • The Center offers educational events and tutorials showcasing new analytical tools and industry best practices.
  • The Center provides support to increase and improve the business analytics-oriented components of Elon’s undergraduate and graduate courses.

Who Can Participate?

While the Center is situated in the Love School of Business, participation in the Center and its activities is open to all majors and to all faculty across campus. Anyone with an interest in the role that data can play in decision-making in organizations or in their specific domain of interest, irrespective of current level of technical skills training, is welcome to participate.

  • The Center provides opportunities for training in data analytics skills that can start you on your data analytics journey or supplement what you learn in your courses.
  • The Center provides opportunities for hands-on practical experience for students through projects with Center partners. The combination of technical and soft skills experience that you gain from these activities is highly prized by employers.
  • The Center provides exposure to the latest data analytics trends and analytics-related careers through events where you can learn from and interact with analytics leaders from industry and academia.
