All graduates confirmed to participate in May 24 Commencement must reserve guest tickets to their diploma ceremony. With the anticipated number of graduates in each diploma ceremony, the maximum number of guest tickets is five (5).

Tickets are required for all guests who enter Schar Center, including children aged two (2) years and up. There is no charge for guest tickets. All guest tickets are for general admission seating. Please see the Schar Center seating diagram to be familiar with guest seating including accessible seating.

Graduates are responsible for requesting, claiming and distributing tickets to the guests who will use them on May 24.

Graduates who may have completed studies earlier in the academic year and/or may not currently live at Elon for other reasons (i.e., study abroad, remote internship, dual degree program), who intend to return and participate in a diploma ceremony on May 24, must also request tickets for their guests attending their diploma ceremony.

In mid-April, graduates will receive email instructions to reserve guest tickets.

A limited number of tickets may remain after the ticket request has closed depending on the number of requests received. If tickets remain, graduates will be notified how they may request one (1) additional guest ticket to their diploma ceremony, until any remaining tickets are distributed.

Graduates will pick up guest tickets at Schar Center Ticket Office from May 6-10, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, May 11, tickets can be claimed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Saturday hours are scheduled especially for graduates who are unavailable during weekday hours, e.g. due to work schedules and internships or student teaching.

Given the generous schedule to pick up tickets, including Saturday hours, graduates will be responsible to pick up their guest tickets. Friends and family members may not pick up tickets on behalf of graduates.

Participating graduates who have already left Elon (fall/winter grads, etc.), will make arrangements to pick up their tickets when they return to Elon during Commencement week.
