Master of Higher Education
Elon’s Master of Arts in Higher Education (MHE) is designed to prepare highly effective professionals for roles as administrators, educators and mentors in a variety of college and university settings. In a cohort structure, students will experience a curriculum linked together by a series of educationally enriching activities and relationships. Students will be full-time in this two-year, 36-hour program that incorporates study abroad, internships, research experiences and a paid apprenticeship.
The Elon MHE program responds to the need of providing higher education leaders who are immersed in campus-wide models of best practices in undergraduate education, with an emphasis on critical reflection and synthesis of knowledge and experiences. At the forefront of engaged learning, Elon is uniquely positioned to develop the next generation of leaders in higher education who are prepared to implement high-quality, high-impact experiences that prepare students for meaningful careers and lives as global citizens. The program also builds on Elon’s mission, commitment and vision of an academic community that transforms mind, body, and spirit, and encourages freedom of thought and liberty of conscience.
