Brief Biography
Adriana advises students in the fields of Social and Behavioral Sciences as well as Arts & Humanities, helping them with their professional development both on and off campus. In her previous role as a Career Advising Fellow, she taught two Transition Strategies courses: 'Life After Elon' and 'Explore Self and Careers.' She has consistently worked with multiple faculty members to integrate career advising into their courses while continuing to support students in 1:1 appointments. Beyond her work with the College of Arts and Sciences, Adriana is deeply involved with ALANAM students and hosts drop-in hours at El Centro.
Prior to her career services roles, she gained experience in veteran services, first-year student support, mentorship, engineering tutoring, academic advising, and orientations. Over her various roles, she has developed a passion for higher education and the power of students developing professionally.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places in North Carolina, and traveling. She has visited over 10 countries, but her favorite place to come back to is her hometown, Puerto Rico.
