Elon Law will host the 17th Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition in person in Greensboro October 22-24, 2026. 

Teams historically consist of second- and third-year students. A law school may request permission for first-year students to compete on interscholastic teams. Competitors must be currently enrolled law students seeking their Juris Doctor and in good standing at their home institution. No team member may have earned a Juris Doctor prior to August 1, 2026.

Registration is open for the Fall 2026 competition.  The “early bird” registration period runs through May 31, 2026, with a fee or $500 for one team and $900 for two teams. Regular registration runs June 1- August 17, 2026, with a registration fee of $600 for one team and $1,100 for two teams. Schools are limited to two (2) teams each. Registration is limited to the first 36 teams.

Tickets for an Awards Ceremony and Dinner on Saturday, October 24, at 5:30 p.m. are $50 per person. Registration for the awards and dinner program closes October 16, 2026.
