Vice President for Student Life Jon Dooley offers this weekly message to help students stay informed and prepare for the week ahead.

Public opinion is divided on athlete compensation, employment and the governance of college sports, though Americans are unified in support of academic standards and the importance of college athletics opportunities in all sports.

As part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience poster session, held July 24 in Snow Family Grand Atrium, School of Communications students presented research on sports policy, media representation, and community issues.

There were 654 student-athletes earning High Honors with Distinction, 1,259 student-athletes achieving High Honors, and 2,100 student-athlete receiving Honors.

The Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes the institution with the highest collective grade point average in all 22 sports sponsored by the CAA.

The new fundraising strategy introduced during the 2024–25 academic year led to a 65% increase in operating support, a 52% increase in total cash received and a 34% increase in overall fundraising production.
