Supporting families every step of the way

Families are at the heart of the Roberts Academy community. We know that when parents understand dyslexia and feel supported, children flourish.

Our goal is to make the learning journey a partnership built on trust, compassion, and shared progress.

Family Workshops & Community Events

Learning together to support every child

Throughout the year, the Roberts Academy will host events that help families better understand how children with dyslexia learn and thrive. These sessions will include:

  • Discovering Dyslexia
  • Practical strategies for reading at home
  • Understanding the principles of Orton–Gillingham instruction
  • Building confidence and resilience in children

Parents leave these workshops with tools, clarity, and a sense of belonging within a community that understands their experience.

Event dates and registration details will be shared here as they become available.

Resources for Understanding Dyslexia

Knowledge empowers families

We believe knowledge empowers families. Recommended reading and support organizations include:

These resources help parents and caregivers deepen their understanding of dyslexia and advocate effectively for their children.

Building a Circle of Support

Community is the foundation of confidence

When families enroll at the Roberts Academy, they become part of a community of care. Parents connect with one another through family events, volunteer opportunities, and celebration days that honor student progress.

Together, we celebrate every milestone along the way.  From reading the first chapter independently, to the first confident presentation, into the first moment of real pride in learning.
