Department/Office Polo Shirts

To support a consistent, high-quality and professional presentation of Elon University across all departments and offices, especially at major events with large external audiences, the university has established a standard design and ordering process for official polo shirts. While additional apparel options are permissible, departments ordering polo shirts to be worn by employees representing the university at events and programs should follow the guidance outlined below.

Department/Office Format

Official Elon University polo shirts feature:

  • The E monogram with departmental or unit name underneath in Myriad type.
  • The Elon University primary university wordmark on the sleeve.

Using this setup and the required vendors indicated below will ensure consistent fabric color and embroidery across all university units. Once you have placed your order, please submit a polo design request (monogram with department name) through the Office of University Communications Project Request Form. Our team will provide the approved design directly to the embroidery vendor to ensure correct application.

Polo Options & Pricing

Elon has partnered with Under Armour to offer men’s and women’s polos at a 40% discount. Two styles are available: the Tech Polo and the Tipped Polo.

A Note About Color: As with all university merchandise and apparel, these polos are pre-manufactured blanks and not an exact match to Elon’s official maroon. The selected Cardinal (625) is the closest color available from Under Armour. Use of this option maintains consistency across departments while aligning as closely as possible with Elon’s brand standards.

Ordering Process

To place an order, please email Jeff Marcin at JMarcin@bsnsports.com. Your order should include:

  • Polo style, color and item number (e.g., 1376904-625)
  • Size breakdown and total quantity

  • Total: 30

Polos will be shipped directly to your campus box once the order is confirmed.

Embroidery & Branding

After receiving your polos, contact IVARS to have them embroidered using the approved departmental setup. Please note: The new design includes two embroidery locations (chest and sleeve), which may affect pricing.

Ordering Additional Apparel

Departments and offices can order additional branded apparel in other colors or configurations. University Communications is available to assist and ensure that requested designs are in alignment with brand standards.
