Elon University’s visual identity and style guide

Elon has adopted a system of graphic marks that represent the university’s proud history and convey the unique nature of an Elon education. It is important that all schools, departments and sub-units of the university use these marks consistently and in accordance with the style standards.

Use the links at left on this website to view the various versions of the Elon marks and access the files for download in a wide variety of formats. Use of Elon’s marks is reserved for the educational, business or professional operations of the university and its personnel. These trademarked symbols of the university should not be used for personal or commercial purposes without permission of an authorized university representative. For more information about the use of Elon’s identity system, contact the Office of University Communications.

Please note: The shield, and by extension the flame-leaf icon, is primarily used along with Elon’s wordmark. The shield may be used as a stand-alone mark only in specific instances approved by the Office of University Communications.
