Students, Faculty enjoy video game tourney

All-student team "L1 Cache" faced faculty/staff team "Staff Infection" during the Quake 3 finals at the semi-annual video game night sponsored by the Elon chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery. L1_Cache has been the reigning champions for several semesters, and was victorious yet again with a 50-45 win over Staff Infection in the final round.

L1_Cache continued their momentum by making it to the final round in the Halo tournament against another student team, BAMFS. But with a 50-21 final score, BAMFS put an end to the L1_Cache dreams of double-victory.

The game night, known as the "Faculty Frag Fest", included tournament-style games in Halo 2 and Quake 3. A total of 12 teams competed in the single-elimination contests. All participants enjoyed door prizes, free drinks, and pizza.
