Jennifer Smith Presents at NC Library Conference
The North Carolina Library Association has selected Belk Library's Jennifer Smith to participate in its biennial conference.
Smith is the serials & documents assistant in Belk Library, and using her expertise in the field, she has created a poster presentation titled "Going Virtual: Weeding Federal Government Documents in the Electronic Age." Her presentation focuses on a recent Belk Library project in which she and others created more shelf space by transitioning to a collection containing more electronic based information, and less paper based information.
The project essentially provides Belk Library not only with more shelf space but with a collection of government resources that better meets the needs of the library’s patrons as well.
