David Crowe Book on Schindler discussed in New York Times

An article in the New York Times (June 19,2011) on Mietek Pemper, a Schindler Jew who claimed to be the author of "Schindler's List," discussed Crowe's biography on Schindler ("Oskar Schindler: The Untold Account of His Life, Wartime Activities, and the True Story behind 'The List.'"

Crowe, who featured Pemper in the book, interviewed him twice during the course of his research in Augsburg, Germany. The NYT article makes particular reference to Crowe's comments about Pemper's life in the Plaszow concentration camp which was commanded by the sadistic Amon Goeth. Pemper, whom Goeth forced to work for him as his personal secretary, survived the war though his nerves "'were shattered because of the pressure.'"
