Film Screening: Chasing Ice - Sept. 16
See our planet like never before.
Elon will be hosting a screening of Chasing Ice on Monday, Sept. 16 in McKinnon Hall at 7 p.m.
Chasing Ice depicts hauntingly beautiful visuals of Earth’s changing climate. Originally a climate change skeptic and cynic about the nature of academic research, National Geographic Photographer James Balog captures images of the Arctic using revolutionary time-lapse cameras to capture a multi-year visual record of the world’s changing glaciers. Not your typical depressing ‘environmental’ film, Chasing Ice offers a unique perspective on the evidence of climate change and delivers a message of hope.
The event is open to the public so family and friends are welcome. Invite them to the Facebook event.
This screening was made possible by The National Geographic Channel and sponsored by the Office of Sustainability.
