Jason Husser speaks with WFMY News 2 about federal lawsuit
The assistant professor of political science and assistant director of the Elon University Poll offered an analysis of a federal lawsuit to prohibit the state from implementing a new voter ID law.
Assistant Professor Jason Husser appeared July 6, 2014, on WFMY News 2 in an interview about a pending federal lawsuit against the state of North Carolina.
The lawsuit by the U.S. Department of Justice seeks to overturn a state law that begins in 2016 requiring photo identification before voters can cast their ballots in an election. The news segment, "Judge to Examine NC Voter Laws," was broadcast the day before a hearing on the law.
Husser researches American political behavior and survey methodology. He earned a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in 2012 and today teaches courses on polling, political behavior and survey methodology.
