AERO 121. FOUNDATIONS OF THE USAF ................................................................ 1sh

This course introduces the students to the USAF. It includes a study of the foundations of officership, mission and organization of the Air Force, US military customs, courtesies, rank structure and Air Force core values. 1 credit hours/1 lecture hours.
 

AERO 122. FOUNDATIONS OF USAF II .................................................................... 1 sh

This course is a continuation of AERO 121. Featured topics include Air Force organization and command structure, communication skills application and structure of the Department of Defense. 1 credit hours/1 lecture hours.

AERO 131. GENERAL MILITARY COURSE LAB I ................................................. 1 sh

This course puts into practice the Air Force customs and courtesies, drill and ceremonies and leadership techniques learned during the associated class. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. This course must be taken in conjunction with AERO 121. (F) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 132. GENERAL MILITARY COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB II ................... 1 sh

This course is a continuation of AERO-131. This course puts into practice the Air Force customs and courtesies, drill and ceremonies and leadership techniques learned during the associated class. Provides more detailed information about the Air Force and career opportunities available. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. Must be taken in conjunction with AERO 122. (S) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 221. AIRPOWER HISTORY I ......................................................................... 1 sh

This course is designed to examine the general aspects of air and space power through a historical perspective. Historical examples are provided to extrapolate the development of Air Force capabilities and missions to demonstrate the evolution of what has become today's USAF air and space power. 1 credit hours/1 lecture hours.

AERO 222. AIRPOWER HISTORY II ....................................................................... 1 sh

This course is a continuation of AERO 221 and further examines the aspects of air and space power through a historical perspective but incorporates most recent world events and how they pertain to the capabilities and missions of the USAF. 1 credit hours/1 lecture hours.

AERO 231. GENERAL MILITARY COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB II ..................... 1 sh

This course is an application of Air Force customs and courtesies, and drill and ceremonies. It also examines the Air Force environment, life, and work of an Air Force Officer. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. Must be taken in conjunction with AERO 221. (F) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.
 

AERO 232. GENERAL MILITARY COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB IV ................. 1 sh

This course continues the application of Air Force customs and courtesies and leadership training. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. This course must be taken in conjunction with AERO 222. (S) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 251. GENERAL MILITARY COURSE LEADERSHIP Lab I ..................... 1sh

This course is for AS 500 cadets, and is an application of Air Force customs and courtesies; drill and ceremonies; and examines the Air Force environment, life and work of an Air Force Officer. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. Prerequisites: AERO 232 (F) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 252. GENERAL MILITARY COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB II ................... 1sh

This course is for AS 500 cadets, and continues the application of Air Force customs and courtesies and leadership training. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. Prerequisites: AERO 251. (S) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 321. LEADERSHIP STUDIES I ..................................................................... 3 sh

This course is a study of leadership, management fundamentals and professional knowledge, leadership ethics, and communication skills required of a junior officer in the United States Air Force. Case studies are used to examine Air Force leadership and management situations as a means of demonstrating and exercising practical application of the concepts being studied. 3 credit hours/3 lecture hours.

AERO 322. LEADERSHIP STUDIES II ................................................................... 3 sh

This course is a continuation of AERO 321. Studies of team building fundamentals, roles and responsibilities of the Air Force supervisor, officer professional development, and advanced topics on Military Ethics and communication skills applications are covered. Case studies are used to examine Air Force leadership and management situations as a means of demonstrating and exercising practical applications of the concepts being studied. 3 credit hours/3 lecture hours.

AERO 331. PROFESSIONAL OFFICER COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB I ........ 1 sh

This course provides advanced leadership experiences in training and command activities. This gives the advanced students the opportunity to apply leadership and management principles and techniques. In addition, one hour of physical training beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. This course must be taken in conjunction with AERO 321. (F) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 332. PROFESSIONAL OFFICER COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB II ......  1 sh

This course is a continuation of AERO 331. It gives students an opportunity to develop personal leadership and management concepts through participation in advanced leadership experiences. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. This course must be taken in conjunction with AERO 322. (S) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 421. NATIONAL SECURITY AFFAIRS ...................................................... 3 sh

This course examines the national security process, regional studies, and Air Force doctrine. Within this structure, continued emphasis is given to refining communication skills. 3 credit hours/3 lecture hours.


AERO 422. NATIONAL SECURITY AFFAIRS II .................................................. 3 sh

This course focuses on officership, military justice, civilian control of the military, preparation for active duty and military professionalism.

AERO 431. PROFESSIONAL OFFICER COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB III ..... 1 sh

This course is designed to develop each student's leadership potential and serve as an orientation to active duty. Students are involved in the planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling of military activities in the cadet corps. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. This course must be taken in conjunction with AERO 421. 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 432. PROFESSIONAL OFFICER COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB IV ..... 1 sh

This course is a continuation of AERO 431. It provides the students with practical command staff leadership experiences through their performances of various tasks within the framework of an organized cadet corps. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. This course must be taken in conjunction with AERO 422. (S) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 451. PROFESSIONAL OFFICER COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB I .......... 1 sh

This course is for AS 700 and AS 800 cadets, and is designed to develop each student's leadership potential and serve as an orientation to active duty. Students are involved in the planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling of military activities in the cadet corps. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week is mandatory. Prerequisites: AERO 432. (F) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.

AERO 452. PROFESSIONAL OFFICER COURSE LEADERSHIP LAB II ........ 1 sh

This course is for AS 700 and AS 800 cadets, and is a continuation of AERO 451. It provides the students with practical command and staff leadership experience through their performance of various tasks within the framework of an organized cadet corps. In addition, one hour of physical training, beginning at 6 a.m., two times per week, is mandatory. Prerequisites: AERO 451. (S) 1 credit hours/1 lab hours.
