Presidential Scholarships

$6,000 Annually

Presidential Scholarships of $6,000 annually are awarded to approximately the top 15 percent of entering first-year students. The awards are based on high school course selection, grades and SAT/ACT scores. No separate application is needed. Scholarships are automatically awarded to students who meet the criteria when the completed admissions application is reviewed. Presidential Scholarships are renewable each year pending acceptable academic performance.

Elon Engagement Scholarships

$4,500 Annually

Elon’s nationally recognized curriculum of engaged learning will inspire you to think big and stretch your imagination. Every first-year applicant will be a candidate for this $4,500 scholarship, which is renewable annually. In addition, each recipient will be given a one-time $2,000 grant to be used for an approved Elon Experience or project you design. Selection is based on your high school academic record, standardized test scores, and very important—your application essay.

Fellows Programs

$5,500 – $13,500 Annually

Elon’s Fellows Programs offer exciting academic and personal growth opportunities beyond the scope of the usual college experience — opportunities like $1,000 Global Study grants, special courses, internships or paid research assistantships. In addition, each of the Fellows Programs offers scholarships to selected incoming Fellows. To be considered for one of these scholarships, students must apply and be admitted to the Fellows program. The scholarships are renewable for an additional 3 years, provided that all program requirements are met. Fellows scholarships are awarded in addition to any Presidential or Elon Engagement Scholarship received.

Fellows applications are available on the applicant-status page once a first-year application has been submitted. All applications are reviewed and finalists for each program are invited to attend the Fellows & Engineering Scholars Weekend in March. From these finalists, Fellows and Engineering Scholars winners are selected on the basis of the application, qualifications and an interview.
