About Transfer Admission

Transfer students are admitted based on their academic records at the institutions from which they are transferring. To graduate, you must complete 60 semester hours or more at Elon, including the last term before graduation.

If you are enrolled in a middle or early college program, you should complete the application for first-year admission.

Transfer Application

Elon’s transfer undergraduate application is online only. A credit card is required when you apply unless you have been issued a fee waiver.

All transfer applicants must submit:

  • Completed application and nonrefundable $60 fee
  • The Student Conduct Form, which must be completed by the deans of all colleges attended verifying eligibility.
  • Official transcripts from all two-year and four-year colleges/universities attended
  • A final official high school transcript
  • SAT or ACT scores. The SAT/ACT may be waived for some advanced students or nontraditional students who did not take the test while in high school.

Application Deadlines

In most cases, we will continue to accept transfer applications beyond the application deadline, with a decision being rendered on a space-available basis.
